Photos from 2019

2nd March, 2019. My Dad turned 85 this year, so we got all his descendants in the ACT & NSW to his place for a birthday party. We gave him a home cooked meal at his place prepared by Betty & my sister Peggy along with some assistance from various other family members. Here are the photos.

6th April 2019. Betty & I accepted her physiotherapist's challenge & walked up to top of Mount Ainslie from the car park behind the Canberra War Memorial. I took some photos from the top which can be seen here.

On the 20th of April, 2019, Betty & I walked up Mt Majura with my brother Stephen. You can see the photos here.

23rd April, 2019. Betty & I walked up Percival hill from our place, a return trip of around 6.5 kilometres. Here are the photos.

26th April, 2019. Today Betty & I walked up Mount Taylor which is located in South Canberra. It's apparently South Canberra's tallest hill. Here are the photos.

12th May 2019. Betty & I have just come back from a 60th birthday party in Penrith. We stayed up in the Blue Mountains at Springwood. Here are the pictures I took.

During August, Betty went away for a weekend with some ladies form our church for a weekend at Potato Point on the South Coast of NSW. You can see her pictures here.

20th September, 2019. I spent part of this afternoon with Kristie out at Tulip Top Gardens, (just north of Canberra). Of course I took some photos, mainly of the flowers. You can see them here.

21st October, 2019. We've just returned from our annual church camp at Attunga, in the Southern Highlands. Most of our church was able to attend plus some guests. We had a great time in a great facility. Here are the pictures.

Enjoy!

To get the best from the photos ...

Please make sure that  your screen is calibrated so that you can see all the shades in the image below;

Screen calibration image

You must be able to see all this:
-- 20 sections of equal width and different tone
-- the darkest section must be pure black
-- the lightest section must be pure white
-- there must be no hint of color anywhere along the grey spectrum
If you don't see 20 different tones, you may need to lower the contrast.
If black is not pure black, you need to either darken the monitor or adjust the black point.
If white is not pure white, you need to either lighten the monitor or adjust the white point.
If both black and white are not pure, try to boost the overall contrast or adjust both, the black and white points. If there is a color cast, try and adjust the color balance. Some software allows you to do this separately for both ends of the grey spectrum
