Photos from 2016

30th January, 2016.  My Dad was staying with us for a bit & we took him up to the top of Mt Ainslie to see the view. Here are the pictures.

Betty & I went to the USA for our holidays in August. We visited San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Reno & Sacramento. You can see the photos here.

8th October 2016. Betty & I went out to the Tulip Top Gardens, just north of Canberra.  You can check out their website here. You can check out our photos here.

9th October 2016. Today we had an opportunity to assemble all my parents living descendants together for the first time in over 25 years. We did this at my Dad's place in Moss Vale today. A great time was had by all & many of us got to meet my great niece, the first Hocking great grand child, for the first time. You can check the photos out here.

6th December 2016. Betty Renee & I went with Heather & Jason to watch the cricket at Manuka oval after work. We saw a lovely sunset as well. Here are the photos!

28th December 2016. We flew down early Boxing Day morning to watch the first day of the Boxing Day test. We spend the next few days in Melbourne and  one day we went to the Botanic Gardens. You can see the photos here.

Enjoy!

To get the best from the photos ...

Please make sure that  your screen is calibrated so that you can see all the shades in the image below;

Screen calibration image

You must be able to see all this:
-- 20 sections of equal width and different tone
-- the darkest section must be pure black
-- the lightest section must be pure white
-- there must be no hint of color anywhere along the grey spectrum
If you don't see 20 different tones, you may need to lower the contrast.
If black is not pure black, you need to either darken the monitor or adjust the black point.
If white is not pure white, you need to either lighten the monitor or adjust the white point.
If both black and white are not pure, try to boost the overall contrast or adjust both, the black and white points. If there is a color cast, try and adjust the color balance. Some software allows you to do this separately for both ends of the grey spectrum
