located in our home in northern Canberra, ACT, Australia.
This
means that it's upload speed is constrained by the speed of our ADSL
connection & may further be affected by Internet traffic

The
main purpose of this web site is to allow us to display & share
photos taken at family events & on holidays & other
trips.
Naturally, all the
photos on this website are copyright to me, Peter Hocking, unless
otherwise noted.
If you'd like
a copy of one or some of these photos or wish to use them somewhere

the photos
The photos are sorted by year, so click on the
button for the relevant year, then click on the links for the set of
photos.
To best view the photos make sure that your screen is calibrated
so that you can see all the shades in the image below;
You must be able to see all this:
-- 20 sections of equal width and different tone
-- the darkest section must be pure black
-- the lightest section must be pure white
-- there must be no hint of colour anywhere along the grey spectrum
If you don't see 20 different tones, you may need to lower the contrast.
If black is not pure black, you need to either darken the monitor or adjust the black point.
If white is not pure white, you need to either lighten the monitor or adjust the white point.
If both black and white are not pure, try to boost the overall contrast or adjust both, the black and white points.
If there is a colour cast, try and adjust the colour balance. Some
software allows you to do this separately for both ends of the
grey spectrum

24th
January, 2011. Today Renee got her ACT provisional drivers license
because she turned 17 yesterday! Some photos of her 17th birthday are here.
Back
in August 2009, Betty & I went & had a look at all the war
memorials on Anzac Avenue in Canberra. I've fiinally put the photos up,
you can see them here.
19th
February, 2011. Today was my father in law's 90th birthday. All
the family came to Canberra plus my parents. We all went out to Cafe
Injoy at Gold Creek for lunch & then back to our place for
dessert & tea. You can see the pictures here.
My little sister Peggy married Ross Pollack at Christchurch, Kiama. A beautiful day for a wondefrul wedding. The pictures are here.
For
the Monday of the 2011 October Long Weekend, my brother Stephen, Betty &
I did the Yerrabi Walk at Namadji National Park, (just outside
Canberra). Here are the photos.
29th November, 2011. Last night we had our annual church Christmas dinner. Here are the photos.
10th
December, 2011. Our youngest child Renee graduated from College today.
She's off to uni next year at the University of Canberra. The photos
can be found here.
31st December, 2011. I've put up the Christmas photos here.
The first lot were taken at our place on Christmas day with my family
plus my father-in-law. The 2nd lot were taken at a park in Cowra where
we met Betty's ister & some of her family including our new great
nephew, William Baxter.
31st
July, 2012. Arived back from our trip to the USA where we saw San
Diego, Las Vegas, (including the Grand Canyon), & Los Anglese. the
index to the pictures is here.
October Long Weekend 2012. 12 of us from church went up to the 2012
Blackstump Music Festival which was held at the Cataract Scout Park,
near Appin NSW. You can view the photos here.
